I Finally Had a Chance to See What Life on the Other Side of the World is Like

Dreaming of going overseas never really helped me when I was growing up because it didn’t happen. I just never had the chance. My family couldn’t afford it, school later got in the way and work got in the way. I married a guy who is from Australia, and we finally got a chance to go there recently. It was amazing! Our first night there, we had Turkish cuisine in Sydney which was a big surprise. My parents are from Turkey, and I miss the food that they made me when I was growing up.
